Educational Scholarships for Students

In 1989, the National Speakers Association (NSA) Foundation established a scholarship program that encourages and rewards juniors, seniors and graduate students who major or minor in speech or directly related communication study.

In the past 17 years, over $270,000 in scholarships have been awarded to communications students and professors. In 2008, the NSA Foundation will again award four $5,000 student scholarships.

Applications should be postmarked no later than June 1, 2008 for consideration. Those received after this date will not be eligible for review.

NSA's Scholarship Committee will review all applications, and final selections will be made at the Annual Convention in early August. Recipients will be notified in August 2008. In September 2008, NSA Scholarship recipients will receive $2,500 made out to them and their college and university. The second half will be sent in early January.
