New York Convention Housing Options  – as of June 15, 2008

Travel Planners, NSA’s housing bureau for New York, has transferred all reservations in their system to the New York Marriott Marquis. Upgrade requests not yet made with the Marriott Marquis need to be communicated directly with the hotel from this point forward. All other changes, requests or cancellations will still be handled through Travel Planners. Should you need to contact Marriott Marquis directly to request an upgrade, please call (212) 398-1900. All other Convention hotel reservations will be transferred from Travel Planners to the specific hotels within the next week.

How to Book Your Room at one of the NSA hotel options

1. Register for the NSA Convention. You will need your confirmation code to book a room through NSA’s housing company.

2. To book a room with properties 1-6 on the list above, please contact our housing bureau partner, Travel Planners at http://www.tphousing.com/NSA/login.asp or by calling (800) 221-3531, option 1, or (212) 532-1660.

3. To book a room at property 7 on the list above (the Marriott Marquis) call: (800) 843-4898. (Note: These rooms are not under the NSA room block, therefore you will not need to mention NSA if you choose to make a reservation directly with Marriott.)

Housing FAQs

Why are we using a housing bureau?
We understand that introducing a housing bureau into the hotel reservation process is frustrating for savvy speakers who live on the road and who hold elite status with various properties. It is not NSA's intent to make the housing process more difficult. It is our goal to be proactive in accommodating as many NSA members as possible in convenient hotels and also save our members as much money as we can. This was the best alternative for this particular year and we do not have intentions of making the move to a housing bureau a permanent part of our future meetings.

Why is the Marriott Marquis already sold out at the $189 NSA rate?
NSA blocked the maximum number of rooms allowable at the $189 discount rate and we continue to seek discounted rates at hotels that are within a short walk of the Marriott. NSA is committed to making this Convention a content-rich, life-altering learning experience for you. It is going to be an incredibly exciting experience for NSA's Annual Convention to be held in New York and many of you have already indicated you want to be part of by registering early.

Why do we have additional hotels for this convention?
These hotels have provided discounted prices for NSA. As a service to our members, NSA negotiated discounted rates at a number of properties close to the convention hotel.
